Its that time of the year for basil! I just love the taste of olive garden but not the expense; so here is a recipe of mine that will give you the best of both worlds.
What you need:
1 cup of graded parm
1 1/2 cups of milk
1/3 cup of flour
3 chicken breasts (cooked and chopped into small pieces)
1/2 stick of butter
9 regular sized fresh basil leaves
1 box of fettuccine noodles

*Also I like one diced tomato

Cook noodles and set aside
Take a large sauce pan and add butter and wait till melted
Then sift in flour and increment milk until gone while you stir with your whisk on medium to high burner
Whisk until the mixture becomes thick
Add diced basil and chicken (tomato if wanted)
Add mixture to noodle
Stir and surve
